Device-to-device voice connect (needs a signaling server).

What it is

A peer-to-peer voice connection between devices. Honest note: it needs a small signaling server to introduce the two devices (already its own package in the codebase), so it is not fully offline; whether it ships client-only or client-plus-server is an open packaging decision for the open-source track. Uses the microphone.

Camera & microphone consent

Uses the microphone for a live voice connection. Requires explicit opt-in before the microphone turns on and a visible indicator while active.
